This family of five needed a better kitchen and baths. The blueprint shows how the addition (built by a previous owner) was being used as a family room, while the original galley kitchen remained. The baths were also very dated, and the children's bath opened up directly into the kitchen. The homeowner flipped the kitchen into the family room area, and was able to fit a spectacular island and to triple her counter space. The old kitchen area is now used as a small sitting area, great for kids' play or homework, or a glass of wine at the end of a long day.
