She Shed and Planter Box

Our homeowner had a concrete front stoop with only 10" to step out on, and the first step was almost 12" down from the door.

 In order to help this client "age in place" we built a new porch over the old one, and the new porch now has a 36" landing at the same height as the door opening, and meets code for stair heights, and each stair is 12" deep to allow more leeway.  We also added a graspable handrail.
